Victor is an HCPC-registered biomedical scientist currently completing an NIHR-funded master鈥檚 in clinical research at the University of Plymouth. With five years of experience in clinical diagnostics, he has developed a strong interest in using clinical and multimodal data to improve personalised care and address health inequalities, especially within underserved communities.
His research interests centre on translational science, with a particular focus on precision oncology and how emerging data-driven health innovations, such as clinical digital twins, can be rigorously validated and safely implemented for improved and equitable clinical outcomes. He is excited to be interning with the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative, University of Exeter to identify early transcriptional vulnerabilities in NF1-associated tumour progression, contributing to a preventative approach to a rare and aggressive cancer.
Alongside his academic and research work, Victor volunteers at FORCE Cancer Charity Support Centre in Exeter, where he supports people and families affected by cancer.
